At Duncan Music Group, Inc. dba Jerry Duncan Promotions, we work with the small and medium market stations that
report to the Mediabase Activator Chart, Mediabase Independent Chart, and the Music Row Breakout Chart. These are the charts where new artists start and build their careers, and established artists can continue to grow their careers.

We have been in the Country Radio Promotion business for 40+ years, promoted over 100 Number One singles, and specialize in breaking new artists and promoting established artists.

We were instrumental in helping break the careers of Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Martina McBride, Shania Twain, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Granger Smith, Brantley Gilbert, Morgan Wallen, HARDY, and many others.

Our Services Include:

Shipping your single to approximately 4,000 recipients via MPE**.

Weekly communication with all the Program or Music Directors regarding your single.

Telephone consultation as needed between Promotion Teams and Artist/Management.

Weekly email reports regarding your single progress.

While radio airplay is not guaranteed, we ensure honest airplay and passionately advocate for the artists we represent. We only take on clients and the singles we believe in and feel we can successfully promote to country radio. Sometimes, a first single can break an artist, as with Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise,” but often it serves to introduce the artist to radio and their audience. It may take 3-5 singles for a new artist to gain recognition.

We strongly recommend having at least two promotion teams when working to break a new artist. This is necessary because you will be competing with major labels and independent artists who might already be on their 3rd or 4th single with radio, supported by multiple promotion companies. Each project is unique, and we assemble the best team for that specific project, working just as a major label would.

Breaking a new artist is a costly undertaking. The Major Labels that Independents compete with for radio airplay spend approximately $150,000.00 per single on any given artist. Record labels have a full-time staff of in-house Promoters, plus they hire Independent Promoters, like our company, to help push singles for radio airplay. It’s best to consider this before getting started.
